A Weekly Astrological Look Ahead with Soul-Work Journal Prompts, Healing Opportunities, as well as Actionable Steps to Work with the Energy.

Hey Soul Seekers,
I hope the Aquarius Full Moon this past week brought you the clarity, release, or emotional breakthrough you needed—I know it hit deep for many of us. As we wane from that intensity, we enter a time of integration and rest, gently moving toward the Leo Solar Eclipse on August 12th. We are officially in Eclipse Season, and if you’ve been feeling the shift, you’re not alone.
Eclipses are powerful—karmic or energetic portals that usher in a massive influx of energy and often bring profound new beginnings, unexpected endings, or life-altering decisions. They can feel destabilizing because they ask us to release what we’ve outgrown and pivot toward what’s next. This can show up as a pregnancy, a move, a career change, a relationship shift, or an internal/external transformation that changes everything. Not all of it feels easy, but all of it is purposeful.
During this time, compassion is everything—for yourself and for others. You never know what someone is navigating beneath the surface. Please, go easy. Lighten your schedule. Get extra rest. Stay hydrated. And most importantly, give yourself grace as you ride these waves. If the energy is activating your chart, you may feel it more intensely—but know that you will come out the other side changed, expanded, and more aligned with your truth.
This week, the astrology of August 3rd – 9th is more subdued—a quiet preparation for what’s ahead. Chiron stations retrograde in Taurus for the first time at this degree since 1976, offering a profound opportunity for introspection and deep healing around worth, security, and identity. Venus enters Libra, her home sign, restoring balance, harmony, and reciprocity to our relationships. The Sun trines Saturn retrograde, helping us restructure our lives in ways that support our authentic self-expression and break us free from stagnation. Mercury finally leaves its post-retrograde shadow, closing the chapter on themes we’ve been processing since June—and on Sunday, Mercury enters Leo, where our voice becomes bolder, more creative, and more expressive.
But Mercury’s entrance into Leo comes with a square to Chiron and an opposition to Pluto—making this transition tender and psychologically charged. The Chiron square can stir insecurity, making us question whether our voice matters or if our ideas will land. The Pluto opposition can leave us feeling exposed, challenged, or misunderstood. Pride may feel fragile. Expression may feel risky. But this is exactly the medicine of Mercury in Leo: learning to speak anyway. To share anyway. To trust that your voice is needed, even when it feels vulnerable.
Sending you so much love as we navigate this Eclipse Season together. Remember: you are never alone. Your voice is a bridge. Use it to connect, to heal, and to remind others—and yourself—that we are in this together.
A Reminder
As a friendly reminder, with Saturn and Neptune in Aries, time may feel like it’s moving faster or scattered, so focus on joy, purpose, personal development, and what truly nourishes you. I’m writing a more streamlined format for a bit, as I balance a fuller workload; I appreciate your patience and support as I temporarily pause any new consultations to honor my current commitments. If you’d like to be put on a waiting list for a future consult, please email me and I will gladly add your name to the list. You will be notified first, when my schedule begins to open up.

Astrological Breakdown for the Week
The Astrology for August 3rd – 9th
Welcome to a week that holds tenderness and shifts in energy—a week of healing, relational focus, and the courageous act of speaking your truth. It begins with Chiron stationing retrograde, inviting us to revisit old wounds around self-worth, identity, and security—not to suffer them again, but to understand them differently and finally release their hold. Thursday brings three powerful shifts: Venus enters Libra, restoring grace, balance, and connection to our relationships; the Sun trines Saturn retrograde, helping us stabilize the identity we’re growing into; and Mercury finally leaves its post-retrograde shadow, bringing emotional clarity and resolution to the retrograde story. The week closes with Mercury entering Leo, igniting our voice, creativity, and self-expression—even when it feels vulnerable. This is a week of healing, connection, and speaking from the heart.
Monday, August 3rd: Chiron Stations Retrograde (Taurus)
On Monday, Chiron stations retrograde — and this is a significant moment. It is the first time Chiron has stationed retrograde near this degree since August 1976. These last few months, since June, have given us a preview of what Chiron in Taurus feels like: wounds around self‑worth, material security, scarcity, insecurity, and body image. Now, as Chiron turns inward, it begins traveling back into the late degrees of Aries in September, leaving Taurus for about seven months. This retrograde period will help us finish the Chiron in Aries storyline — healing wounds around identity, bravery, assertiveness, and taking leadership of our lives — before Chiron returns to Taurus in April 2027, where it will remain until May 2034.
At the moment Chiron stations retrograde, it is under pressure. Jupiter in Leo squares Chiron, highlighting wounds around self‑expression and challenging beliefs systems around our worth. Pluto retrograde in Aquarius squares Chiron, excavating how we show up in society, how empowered/disempowered we feel, and how we can use our voice for healing. The North Node in Aquarius sextiles Chiron, offering growth, connection, and healing through community. Chiron in Taurus is currently ruled by Venus; when it moves back into Aries, it will be ruled by Mars. And right now, Venus and Mars are square each other — creating tension between how we value ourselves, how we pursue what we need, and how we connect with others. The emotional and mental wounds we still hold deep inside connect these themes, so we can heal and grow from them.
Chiron will travel between 0° Taurus backwards towards 26° Aries, during its retrograde. If you have planets or angles in those degrees, you will feel this more personally. Particularly the beginning of the fixed or earth signs and the end degrees of the Cardinal or fire signs
What it feels like: This energy feels tender, raw, and introspective. You may feel old insecurities resurfacing — especially around worth, identity, or how you show up in relationships and the world. There is a sense of revisiting old wounds not to suffer them again, but to understand them differently. It feels like a slow, steady unraveling of emotional knots you’ve carried for years.
Positive expressions: This retrograde offers deep healing, clarity, and empowerment. You may finally understand the root of certain insecurities or patterns. Jupiter helps you expand your self‑belief. Pluto helps you reclaim your power. The North Node helps you connect with others who support your growth. This is a powerful time for rebuilding confidence, strengthening identity, and healing long‑standing emotional wounds.
Shadow expressions: The shadow may show up as feeling stuck, insecure, or overly focused on what hurts. You may feel challenged by old patterns around self‑worth or identity. Venus/Mars tension can create conflict between what you value and how you pursue it, or even how you relate to others. There may be moments of doubt, fear, or emotional heaviness. The shadow is believing the wound defines you.
The invitation: Let this retrograde be a return — not to pain, but to understanding. Allow yourself to revisit old wounds with compassion. Strengthen your identity. Rebuild your worth. Release scarcity narratives. Heal the places where you’ve felt small. Chiron is not here to break you — it is here to help you integrate the parts of yourself that have been hurting or feel disconnected within you. You are entering a powerful chapter of healing that will shape your identity for years to come. Let it unfold gently.
Healing Opportunity & Actionable Step:
Revisiting Old Wounds with Compassion, Not Judgment
Aligned with Chiron stationing retrograde — deep healing, revisiting wounds around worth, identity, and security.
Positive Expression: Deep healing, clarity, and empowerment. Understanding the root of insecurities or patterns. Rebuilding confidence, strengthening identity, healing long-standing emotional wounds.
Shadow Expression: Feeling stuck, insecure, or overly focused on what hurts. Doubt, fear, or emotional heaviness. Believing the wound defines you.
Actionable Step: Create a Wound Wisdom page: Journal: “One old wound or insecurity I’ve been carrying is ________. What I’ve learned from carrying it is ________. What I’m ready to release is ________.” Then add: “I am not my wound—I am someone who is healing.” Read it aloud. Let this retrograde be a return—not to pain, but to understanding.
Thursday, August 6th: Venus Enters Libra; Sun trine Saturn Rx; Mercury Leaves Shadow
Thursday is a busy and meaningful day, marked by three major shifts: Venus enters her home sign of Libra, the Sun in Leo forms a trine to Saturn retrograde in Aries, and Mercury finally leaves its post‑retrograde shadow. Each of these transits brings a different layer of clarity, healing, and forward movement — emotionally, relationally, and personally.
Venus entering Libra is a welcome shift. Venus loves being here — she operates with grace, harmony, balance, and natural relational intelligence. Venus in Libra helps us connect more harmoniously, communicate more fairly, and seek relationships that feel reciprocal and meaningful. She will remain in Libra until September 10th, although she enters her pre‑retrograde shadow on August 31st where she prepares for her retrograde cycle. Venus will officially go retrograde in Scorpio on October 3rd, covering late Libra, 22°15′ degrees onward and early Scorpio up to 8°29′ degrees— this retrograde will be focused on healing intimacy, relational patterns, and how we connect both platonically and romantically with others.
At the moment that Venus enters Libra, she forms a Yod — a “Finger of God” — with herself at the apex (top). She is quincunx both the North Node in Aquarius and Chiron retrograde in Taurus (which she also rules). The North Node and Chiron Rx are sextile each other, creating a supportive pathway of growth and healing. Venus at the apex means we are being asked to make an emotional adjustment or balance — to connect differently, to open ourselves even when it feels uneasy, and to push through discomfort in order to grow. Venus is trine the Taurus Moon (which she rules), offering emotional stability. She is square Mars in Gemini, asking her to approach relationships with curiosity and flexibility. She is trine Uranus in Gemini, helping her break free from old relational patterns to be able to relate in a different way. She is opposite Neptune retrograde in Aries, requiring discernment between fantasy and reality, asking how we want to show up within relationships, what is the ideal vision or connection we want with another and are we doing our part. Venus is also trine Pluto retrograde in Aquarius, empowering us to move through what feels psychologically heavy in search of deep connection. The quincunxes show where growth and healing are happening, once we make the hard emotional choice to try something new, or try to connect in a different way.
The Sun in Leo trine Saturn retrograde in Aries brings fire‑to‑fire harmony. The Sun is strong in Leo, still conjunct Jupiter, radiating confidence and creativity. Saturn retrograde in Aries is revisiting identity structures — helping us rebuild the foundation of who we are becoming. Together, they create a steady flow of inspiration, discipline, and self‑leadership. This is a day where we may feel clearer about who we are, how we want to express ourselves, and what direction we want to take. Saturn helps us stabilize the new identity we are forming; the Sun helps us shine within it.
Later in the day, Mercury in Cancer finally leaves its post‑retrograde shadow, meaning the retrograde story is officially complete. Mercury is ruled by the Taurus Moon today where it focuses on stability, and the Moon is sextile Mercury, trine Venus, semi‑sextile Mars, moving toward a conjunction with Uranus, trine Pluto, and square the Nodes. This is an emotional decision point — a moment where clarity returns, and we can move forward with new understanding. The emotional attachments we’ve been processing since the retrograde, now begins to release.
What it feels like: This day feels emotionally charged yet stabilizing. Venus brings softness and relational clarity. The Sun/Saturn trine brings confidence and grounded self‑expression. Mercury leaving its shadow brings mental clarity and emotional resolution. You may feel both tender and empowered — aware of what needs healing, yet ready to move forward.
Positive expressions: This energy supports relational harmony, emotional healing, and personal restructuring. Venus in Libra helps us connect with grace and balance. The Sun/Saturn trine helps us build confidence and strengthen identity. Mercury moving forward helps us communicate clearly and make decisions with emotional intelligence. This is a day of growth, healing, clarity, and empowerment.
Shadow expressions: The shadow may show up as relational discomfort, fear of vulnerability, or resistance to connecting in new ways. Venus’s quincunxes can feel awkward, sensitive, or emotionally unstable. The Sun/Saturn trine may highlight where we’ve been rigid or afraid to change. Mercury leaving its shadow may bring up final emotional remnants of the retrograde story. The shadow is clinging to old patterns instead of embracing new relational or personal structures.
The invitation: Open your heart. Try something new in relationships. Let Venus guide you toward connection, balance, and harmony. Let the Sun and Saturn help you strengthen your identity and embrace your natural gifts. Let Mercury’s clarity help you make the emotional decision you’ve been circling. Growth requires courage — and today offers the perfect blend of support, insight, and empowerment to take that step.
Healing opportunity & Actionable Step:
Opening Your Heart to Connection
Aligned with Venus entering Libra (relational grace), Sun trine Saturn (identity stabilization), and Mercury leaving shadow (emotional clarity).
Positive Expression: Relational harmony, emotional healing, personal restructuring. Connecting with grace and authenticity. Building confidence and strengthening identity. Communicating clearly and making decisions with emotional intelligence.
Shadow Expression: Relational discomfort, fear of vulnerability, resistance to connecting in new ways. Clinging to old patterns instead of embracing new relational or personal structures.
Actionable Step: Perform a Heart Opening Practice: Journal: “One way I’ve been holding back in relationships is ________. One fear I’m ready to release is ________. One small way I can open my heart today is ________.” Then do that one thing—reach out, speak honestly, or simply be present. Venus in Libra asks you to try something new in connection. Growth requires courage.
Sunday, August 9th: Mercury Enters Leo
On Sunday, Mercury finally leaves the emotional waters of Cancer and enters the fire sign of Leo, where it will stay until August 25th. After being in Cancer since June 1st — where it was navigating emotional attachments, memories, intuition, and inner processing — Mercury now shifts into bold, expressive, and creative energy. As soon as Mercury enters Leo, it forms a square to Chiron retrograde in Taurus and an opposition to Pluto retrograde in Aquarius. This makes the transition feel personal, sensitive, and psychologically charged.
Mercury in Leo amplifies self‑expression, creativity, enthusiasm, and confidence in communication. Ideas come with flair, conviction, and charisma. We speak from the heart. We express ourselves boldly. We inspire others through our voice. But the square to Chiron can make us feel insecure about doing so — as though our voice might not be enough, or our ideas might not land. The opposition to Pluto can make us feel challenged, exposed, or vulnerable, especially if others don’t immediately understand where we’re coming from. Pride can feel tender. Expression can feel risky. But this is exactly the medicine of Mercury in Leo: learning to speak anyway.
Mercury is now ruled by the Sun in Leo, which means our communication is infused with solar energy — creativity, courage, authenticity, and heart. During Mercury’s journey through Leo, it will trine Neptune retrograde in Aries (helping us re‑envision our ideals and dreams), sextile Uranus in Gemini (breaking us free from restraints on authenticity and communication), sextile Venus in Libra (harmonizing relationships and creative expression), conjunct Jupiter (a new start to self‑belief and expressive growth), trine Saturn retrograde in Aries (restructuring what is meaningful and long‑lasting), and conjunct the South Node in Leo (releasing old ways of thinking, connecting, and expressing ourselves). This is a powerful Mercury cycle — one that rewrites our voice.
What it feels like: This energy feels fiery, expressive, and emotionally exposed. You may feel excited to speak your truth, yet simultaneously aware of old insecurities around being seen or heard. There is a sense of wanting to share your ideas boldly, but also feeling the sting of vulnerability. It feels like stepping onto a stage for the first time — thrilling and intimidating at once.
Positive expressions: Mercury in Leo supports confident communication, creative ideas, inspiring conversations, and expressive breakthroughs. You may feel more willing to speak from the heart, share your talents, or express your truth with courage. The upcoming trines and sextiles help you envision your ideal self, break free from mental constraints you’ve held yourself to, harmonize relationships, and restructure your voice in a meaningful way. This is a cycle of authentic growth.
Shadow expressions: The shadow may show up as insecurity, pride wounds, or fear of being misunderstood. The Chiron square can trigger discomfort around self‑expression. The Pluto opposition can make communication feel intense or confrontational. You may worry about how others perceive you or feel defensive if your ideas aren’t immediately validated. The shadow is believing that sharing your voice is unsafe.
The invitation: Speak anyway. Express anyway. Create anyway. Mercury in Leo asks you to use your voice boldly, authentically, passionately, and with heart — even when it feels vulnerable. Let the Sun guide your communication. Let Neptune inspire your vision. Let Uranus liberate your mind. Let Venus harmonize your connections. Let Jupiter expand your belief in yourself. Let Saturn strengthen your foundation. Let the South Node help you release old stories about who you “used to be.” You are growing into a new version of your voice — one that is courageous, creative, and true.
Healing opportunity & Actionable Step:
Speaking Your Truth Even When It Feels Vulnerable
Aligned with Mercury entering Leo — bold, authentic self-expression, speaking from the heart.
Positive Expression: Confident communication, creative ideas, inspiring conversations, expressive breakthroughs. Speaking from the heart, sharing your talents, expressing your truth with courage.
Shadow Expression: Insecurity, pride wounds, fear of being misunderstood. Discomfort around self-expression. Worrying about how others perceive you. Believing that sharing your voice is unsafe.
Actionable Step: Perform a Voice Declaration Practice: Journal: “One truth I’ve been afraid to say out loud is ________. One fear that has kept me quiet is ________. One way I can use my voice today—even in a small way—is ________.” Then say it aloud. Send the message. Post the thought. Speak the truth. Mercury in Leo asks you to speak anyway, even when it feels vulnerable. Your voice matters. Let it be heard.
Healing Mantra for the Week:
“I heal what has hurt. I open my heart to connection. I speak my truth with courage. I am growing into a voice that is bold, authentic, and true.”
Psychology Fact:
The Vulnerability Loop & The Neuroscience of Trust
Research on self-disclosure (Collins & Miller) shows that sharing personal thoughts and feelings—especially vulnerable ones—is the single most effective way to build closeness and connection. Self-disclosure activates the brain’s reward system (dopamine, oxytocin) and increases trust and bonding. Importantly, the person receiving the disclosure often feels closer to the sharer, creating a reciprocal loop of connection. This is called the vulnerability loop: each act of openness invites more openness, building trust over time. The brain is wired for connection, but it requires small, repeated acts of courage to build the neural pathways of trust. Vulnerability is not weakness—it’s the fastest route to belonging. The brain can learn that connection is safe, one act of openness at a time.
Relevance: Venus in Libra invites us to connect with balance and grace. The shadow is holding back out of fear. The healing is to practice small acts of openness—to prove to your brain that connection is safe.
Practice: Use The Openness Bridge: Identify one small, vulnerable truth you’ve been holding back in a relationship. Share it with the person today—not a confession, just a real moment. Afterward, journal: “I opened my heart. What I felt was ________. What I discovered was ________.” Each small act of openness strengthens the neural pathway of trust and connection.
Shadow Journal Prompts: (for the whole week)
- The Wound That Shaped Me—And What It Taught Me: Chiron retrograde invites us to revisit old wounds with compassion, not judgment.
Think of an old insecurity or wound you’ve been carrying—around your worth, your body, your security, or your identity. Not to relive the pain, but to understand it differently. What did this wound teach you about yourself? What strength did you develop because of it? If you could offer compassion to the version of you who first experienced it, what would you say? What are you ready to release that no longer serves you? - Where Have I Been Holding Back in Relationships? Venus in Libra invites us to connect with harmony, balance, and grace.
Think of a relationship where you’ve been holding back—protecting yourself, staying safe, keeping others at a distance, or not fully showing up. What are you afraid would happen if you opened more fully? What would change if you let yourself be seen? What’s one small way you can practice opening your heart today—not perfectly, just honestly? - The Self I’m Becoming—And the Foundation I’m Building: Sun trine Saturn helps us stabilize the identity we’re growing into.
Who are you becoming—not who you used to be, but who you’re growing into? What qualities are you building? What old version of yourself are you releasing? What’s one small, steady action you can take today to honor the person you’re becoming? - What I’ve Learned from This Retrograde Story: Mercury leaving shadow brings emotional clarity and resolution.
Looking back over the Mercury retrograde that began in June, what emotional attachments, old stories, or patterns have you been processing? What have you learned about yourself—your needs, your boundaries, your emotional truth? What are you ready to release that no longer fits? What clarity has emerged since then? - The Truth I’m Ready to Speak: Mercury in Leo asks us to use our voice boldly and authentically.
What is one truth you’ve been holding back—not because it’s not true, but because you’re afraid of how it will land? What would change if you spoke it anyway? What if your voice isn’t for everyone—but for the people who need exactly what you have to say? What’s one small way you can let your voice be heard today? Your voice matters. Let it be heard.
HAVE THE BEST WEEK AHEAD!
I would love to hear from you! Please share your thoughts and experiences, let me know if you found this helpful. Your feedback is incredibly valuable to me!
